My Firm has an open door policy and you can always just walk in and talk with any of the shareholders without a prior appointment. It's a wonderful atmosphere until you're faced with a closed door! When you see two closed doors, you've just gotta know that they're probably not discussing taking us all on a field trip to an ice cream parlor!

In an open door company (which mine is decidedly NOT), closed doors are nervous-making. When the higher up muckety-mucks start planning in secret, good things do NOT come from that!
